Democracy and e-democracy thank to life skills improvement, participative cultural researches and creative laboratories

The project aims to explore, rework and reconstruct in collective terms the contemporary perception of European common history, identity and culture, in order to foster dialogue and participation on a democratic level.

More specifically:

The output includes the making of international in-person and digital events, as well as 2 exhibitions, with the partnership of 7 countries (Italy, Croatia, Latvia, France, Germany, Holland and Slovenia).

Three approaches will be used:

  1. The first provides participative historical researches, also including the collection and digitize testimonies by veterans of resistance;
  2. The second provides participatory online and in-person events that give voice to civil society, especially targeting young people: events will gather perceptions about contemporary European history, values and mechanisms, and educate about the mechanism of democracy;
  3. The third uses a creative approach: a selection of artists, educators and art- therapists will engage young people and their families (parents, grandparents) in a reflection on democracy and e-democracy thanks to creative laboratories: in this way it will be possible to create the conditions for the boosting of cognitive and not cognitive competencies able to guarantee a better awareness of the democratic process.

All the material produced during these events will be documented, collected into a book and transformed into an educational tool.
Furthermore, an emotional video will be produced and circulated virally, as a major instrument in the dissemination process.
